We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Neurologist with a particular interest and expertise in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to join a dynamic neurology team at a leading NHS trust.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive neurology services with a focus on diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with MS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist neurological consultation, diagnosis, and management of patients with MS and related conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research projects, and teaching activities to contribute to the advancement of neurological care and education.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of protocols and guidelines for the management of MS patients.
  • Participate in on-call services as per the departmental rota.

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completion of specialist training in neurology and membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
  • Specialist registration with the GMC in Neurology.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the diagnosis and management of Multiple Sclerosis and related disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and research activities.
