Specialist Radiologist

We are currently hiring for a Specialty Radiologist to join a leading NHS Radiology department.  

In this role, you will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, leading specialized radiology procedures, and contributing to the education and mentorship of junior staff. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to patient care and advancing radiology practices. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including advanced modalities such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and interventional radiology. 

  • Interpret and report on imaging studies with accuracy and efficiency. 

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide accurate radiological diagnostics and contribute to patient management. 

  • Participate in and lead interventional radiology procedures. 

  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, providing guidance and training in radiology techniques and best practices. 

  • Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and research initiatives within the department. 

  • Participate in on-call duties and support emergency radiology services as required. 

  • Stay current with the latest advancements in radiology technology and medical knowledge. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration with a licence to practise. 

  • Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) Fellowship (FRCR) or equivalent. 

  • Specialised training in a specific radiology field (e.g., neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, interventional radiology, etc.). 

  • Substantial experience in diagnostic imaging and interpretation.
